Victoria’s Secret Angels Lose Pregnancy Weight

Victoria’s Secret Angels Lose Pregnancy Weight
We will not stop admiring how great – even better than before – Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima look after the birth of their children (and their kids are also our favorites!).
The head of Victoria’s Secret marketing says that “angels” have become “more beautiful than ever”, because, in his opinion, they have a special confidence now, they are committed and they know they are capable of anything. Of course, genetics, physical exercise in a gym, and a strict diet played an important role in weight loss and the girls’ changing.

Miranda Kerr

Perhaps, of all the mothers, Miranda Kerr benefited most. Her slender figure got feminine shapes, her movements became more graceful, and her smile became more radiant – not for nothing, after all, was she entrusted with the demonstration of a precious bra!

I was asked to do it after I gave birth. That was awesome. It’s such an honour.
The girl struggled with her extra pounds with the help of yoga, pilates, and strength training. And she deliberately chose the programs that she could run at home, in her living room:
I do have less time, but I do try to exercise every day. I exercise at home with my son playing around with his toys on the floor.
The model believes that watching the way she trains, Flynn, her rosy-cheeked and handsome son, will get used to the idea that sport is an essential part of daily routine. The same can be said about a healthy diet, of which Kerr is a follower.

As a rule, her breakfast consists of fresh fruit with yogurt, eggs, and rye bread with avocado. For midday lunch, she usually has a salad with tuna and green tea, while fish steak with vegetables (pumpkin is a priority here!), green salad, and tea are for dinner. It sounds, by the way, very appetizing!

Doutzen Kroes

Doutzen Kroes says that ABS (Abdominal – Back – Spine) strength training helped her return the usual shape:
Abs, abs, lots of ab exercises all the time.

In addition, she excludes carbohydrates from her diet before important events, replacing them with protein food (several times a day in small portions), and drinks fresh juices (no chemicals!). The result is obvious. And it can easily be seen on her body, of course.
The model is convinced that after the birth of the first baby, her body has changed, and she likes this metamorphosis:
I wish every woman can feel so sexy after birth. It’s your body but it’s also a feeling.
Despite the high fees, the Dane model firmly believes that the main thing is to stick to a regime. And if she has to work overtime, she may allow herself a few days of rest.
The beautiful blonde gladly takes Phyllon to the shooting with her, but only if it is not far away from home. Kroes says that the boy is too young to become a traveler.

Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra Ambrosio, who became a mother nearly three years ago, quickly gained the previous shape. Now, the “angelic” beauty is happy with her body, like never before:
I’m definitely more proud of my body now. Our bodies are changed as we get older, and I’m more conscious of it now. Now, I’m a woman doing the show, not a girl.

The young mother says that her preparation for the show begins a few weeks before it. In particular, she does not eat chocolate (though it is not always required of her). Recently, she does not have much time for sports, so she prefers to spend time with her daughter Anna, who, despite her young age, is a true fashion lover:
She loves dressing up, and there is always a lot of dress up here. There are wings – so much fun for her!

Adriana Lima

But Adriana Lima had to do her best (both literally and figuratively) more than others. A week before the very important display, the model had to start an extremely strict diet, which consisted of only water and special protein shakes. She also began to actively attend sports classes (twice a day!), boxing in particular.
Adriana Lima weight loss
The results were quite soon to come: some argue that the Brazilian model has become even “hotter”, while others criticize her for promoting anorexia.
Adriana says that she just has the same approach to many things, as athletes have, and she does not have to stick to this severe diet all the time! That is the way she prepares for the show. After the show, she again goes back to normal life and eats whatever she wants.
Judging by how elegant Lima currently is, she has not yet kept her word about eating everything she wants.

Perfect Breakfast for Active People
The scientists have always known that caffeine combined with carbohydrates can increase endurance. But only now they were able to prove how this combination affects the effectiveness of training.
A research team from Sheffield Hallam University asked eight volunteers to play three football games in order to assess the quality of the game. For the first time, the volunteers had a drink without caffeine. Before the second game, they were offered a caffeinated beverage, and before the third game they had a drink containing a mixture of caffeine and carbohydrates.
That last drink resulted in improving the volunteers’ performance during the game. Mayur Ranchordas, the author of the study, says that caffeine itself is able to improve one’s performance, but only for a short period of time. But adding carbohydrates can increase the endurance for more than an hour.

Forget the Reason You’ve Entered the Room

Forget the Reason You’ve Entered the Room
The researchers from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana have decided to study the well-known phenomenon occurring when a person forgets the reason why he or she entered the room. The researchers believe that the passage through the doorway impairs short-term memory.
To conduct the research, they had a series of experiments in virtual and real environments. During the first experiment in virtual reality, the volunteering students were offered to pack some items into boxes and either take them to another room, or move them indoors. After this, the experiment was repeated in the real world. In the third experiment, the packed objects were moved through several rooms, so that in the end they would be found in the same room where the experiment began.
It was found that in all cases the participants of the experiment found it more difficult to remember what was in the box, if they went to another room. The third experiment confirmed that the memory was affected by passing through the doorway, rather than by the differences in the environments where the packing took place and when it was needed to remember what was inside the box.
The leader of the study, Gabriel Radwanski, believes that entering or going out through a doorway is a barrier in the thinking processes, which delineates the episodes of activity and sends them to the “archive”.

British Midwife Delivered Her Own Baby

British Midwife Delivered Her Own Baby
A British midwife had to deliver without assistance. The birth of her child began three weeks before the scheduled time. The incident occurred with Claire Clarke-Wood, a worker of Croydon University Hospital.

As reported by The Daily Mail, the midwife felt premature contractions a few hours after she went home from her work at hospital in the evening of December 10. According to the 28-year-old woman, it was the first birth, so she knew that the contractions would be long. The woman decided to wait, until they subsided.

Despite this fact, the frequency of the contractions continued to increase, and the pregnant woman decided to move to the bathroom. The woman’s relatives called the team of doctors. However, Clarke-Wood managed to give birth to a child before their arrival. She delivered the baby, using a small make-up mirror and towels.

The midwife gave birth to a daughter in the morning of December 11. The weight of the newborn girl was about three kilograms.

Clarke-Wood has been working as a midwife at Croydon University Hospital since 2008. According to the newly formed mother, she had assisted the delivery of thousands of women during the period of her work, and many of those women gave birth at home.

Girl Has No Fear of Lions

Girl Has No Fear of Lions
While a visit to the wildest section of a zoo can be frightening for some kids, a New Zealand kid has proved to the Internet that “little” doesn’t necessarily mean “easily scared.” The video of her confronting a lion at the Wellington Zoo earned her the title of “the world’s littlest lion tamer.”
Naturally, there was a safety glass wall between Sofia Walker, 3, and the lion Malik, but that did nothing to diminish the ferocity with which the animal tried to get at the girl with his paws. It paused and then continued to strike at the glass making his anger manifest – yet failing to get the undaunted girl to cringe away from the sight.
The Wellington Zoo’s Paul Hatton explained that the threatening pawing was intended to show that Malik wasn’t going to share his breakfast with the girl.

VelaShape - Cellulite Treatment That Lasts
FDA cleared VelaShape - a non invasive treatment that uses a combination of Bi-Polar Radiofrequency (RF), Infrared Light Energy, plus Vacuum and Mechanical Massage - can dramatically reduce cellulite.
A full Velashape treatment spans 4-6 sessions, spaced a week apart, and costs upwards of $400 / session.
After the last session, it takes about three months to see the final result of the treatment.
The results last several months in the case of patients who eat well and exercise regularly, and when you do need to come back, it is only for touch up treatment, not another 4-6 sessions.
Velashape works by delivering heat energy deep into the skin (dermis) without damaging the upper layer (epidermis). The device uses a combination of optical energies and bipolar RF to create a synergistic effect that allows for lower treatment levels of both the RF and the optical light, reducing the risk of side effects associated with each.
Velashape has vacuum and specially designed rollers for mechanical massage that smooth out the skin and facilitates safe and efficient heat energy delivery.
The heat energy delivered under the skin increases the metabolism of stored fat, stimulates lymphatic drainage and reduces or shrinks the size of the actual fat cells and fat chambers.
The net result is gradual smoothening of the skin's surface with a noticeable reduction in cellulite.
Precise heating ensures safe, effective, and fast treatment with no downtime.
Velashape was recently featured on Dr Oz.

Pros and Cons of Liposuction After Childbirth

Pros and Cons of Liposuction After Childbirth
Pregnancy puts on extra pounds on a woman. Some women put on just a few that they lose right after the baby is born, and some unlucky women even put on hundreds. It all depends on the woman and her nutrition, body type, and other uncontrollable factors. After having a baby, of course most women want to get rid of the extra pounds. One idea is to have liposuction to get rid of the excess fat.
There are a few pros and a few cons to this procedure. Technically after giving birth to a child and waiting about 6-8 months, there is nothing wrong with having liposuction, especially if it is going to help you feel better as a woman and therefore as a mom. It is advised however to wait at least that amount of time to give your body time to heal from the damage done by the arduous process of childbirth and to get back to a somewhat normal health level. The issues with liposuction is that it removes the fat, but fat can grow back. If you don’t learn how to maintain your weight and follow the doctor’s orders during the liposuction recovery stage then it will be pointless. In a matter of weeks, you’ll be back to square one. It can also be dangerous if too much fat is removed. If you are opting for liposuction do not opt for more than 6-8 pounds in one session. Even this is usually divided into two sessions.
Another alternative to liposuction might be a tummy tuck or tummy liposuction. A tummy tuck can get rid of the excess skin and might give you a more permanent, lasting result as opposed to liposuction after the birth of a child. However, moms planning to have this procedure must be done with having more children as it involves having the skin on the tummy area permanently improved. So mothers, the choice is yours.

Women Need to Feel Labor Pain

Women Need to Feel Labor Pain
It might seem that if there is no pain, there is no problem. However, doctors insist that pain is necessary: it forces a woman to complete the process of birth – to strive to end it with the birth of a baby. If there is no pain, there is no desire to make an effort.
According to Doctor of obstetrics Dennis Walsh from the University of Nottingham, England, the pain during childbirth has its own advantages for both mother and baby. He emphasizes that painkillers, such as epidural, violate the natural process of psychological connection between the mother and the child.
Dr. Walsh says that labor pain often helps to regulate the time of delivery, reinforces psychological connection between the mother and the baby, and prepares the woman for motherhood responsibilities.
Over the past 20 years, the use of epidural anesthesia has doubled. In fact, it is used only on demand of women in labor, even despite the fact that the medicine increases medical risks during childbirth and despite the availability of alternative and less invasive ways to control pain symptoms.
Meanwhile, according to Dr. Walsh, the pain has positive physiological effects, allowing to set the rhythm for the contractions and activate the production of endorphins, the hormones that help to adapt to the feeling of pain.
The doctors have noted that the use of epidural anesthesia facilitates side effects, such as the need for hormone replacement therapy during labor and the use of forceps for the child to be born safely.
According to the research by Swedish doctors, one should not overuse these painkillers at least because of the fact that the risk of drug addiction among the adolescents, whose mothers received morphine drugs during labor, is five times higher.
The nervous system of the baby “remembers” the narcotic analgesic. And then, if one day the teenager gives it a try, there will develop a fast and strong addiction.
Dr. Walsh says that alternative methods of reducing pain are safer for both the mother and the newborn baby. For instance, he suggests using the technique of hypnosis, massage, yoga, and birthing pools.
It is believed that the woman, who is psychologically ready to deliver a baby, who is able to breathe properly, is well aware of all the phases of labor, who is able to control herself and is aimed at the result, can cope well without painkillers.

Woman Gets Pregnant Again and Again Despite Birth Control Techniques

Woman Gets Pregnant Again
When it became clear that a young Englishwoman had got pregnant again despite taking the contraceptive pill, the doctors decided that she simply had not followed the instructions as for taking it. But she became pregnant again and again, though she had referred to a more reliable method of intrauterine spiral.
Gemma Potter, the resident of the English city of Plymouth, is only 23 years old now. In 2006, when she met her future husband, she was a very young girl. Their love was passionate and mutual, but soon Gemma noticed a strange thing: all the contraceptives, which she resorted to, were completely ineffective.
As a result, she has given birth to three children during 5 years, and two pregnancies ended in miscarriages.
But the most piquant is the fact that the woman with three children and a young mother – judging by modern standards – is pregnant for the sixth time, although she took every precaution to prevent pregnancy.
Gemma and her husband Glenn made love no more than three times from the beginning of September until early December – once a month, as it turns out. The woman was very worried that she would get pregnant once again. But there was no way to escape her fate. Neither pills, nor intrauterine devices and hormone injections could help her. During the fall, she and Glenn used condoms, but Gemma still got pregnant.
At first, the doctors, whom she spoke with, only smiled and advised her to comply with the prescribed rules for the use of various contraceptive methods more carefully. But now they look at the woman as a kind of a medical phenomenon.
Gemma complains she has forgotten what a party with friends is like. She has forgotten the taste of champagne, whiskey, and wine. She will never be able to find a good job again, and all of that is because she is constantly pregnant. Gemma loves her children and her husband, but she is terribly afraid to once again discover that she is pregnant.
The woman decided that in future she would take advantage of this feature of her organism. After giving birth to their fourth child, Gemma is going to become a surrogate mother.

Peacocks Files for Bankruptcy

Peacocks Files for Bankruptcy
More than six hundred stores of the Peacocks brand across the UK can forever shut their doors for customers. The company and the eponymous Peacocks brand, which had been working in the high street fashion niche, turned out to be on the verge of bankruptcy.
The company has recently made an official statement saying that the managers have failed to solve the financial problems. More than 9,600 employees of the large network of stores may soon be left without their jobs.
When it became clear that the company could not solve the financial difficulties by itself, an active though (unfortunately!) fruitless search for new investors began. The debt of 240 million pounds has remained on the company’s bank account. The negotiations with Barclays and Royal Bank of Scotland had no result, so it made the company announce a state of emergency.
According to Richard Kirk, the chief executive officer of the brand, Peacocks is a company with great heritage. The brand is deeply sad to announce that they have no other way out, but to declare bankruptcy.
Peacocks Files for Bankruptcy - Peacocks worked tirelessly over the past year to negotiate their new financial policy in order to survive in the current harsh conditions of retail marketing. In particular, the representatives of the company were looking for new investments for business development.

Pros and Cons of Getting Pregnant in Winter

Pros and Cons of Getting Pregnant in Winter
Winter is not a very good time for planning and conceiving children. That is what many moms and dads think. After all, it is during this time that the levels of prolactin are elevated in the woman‘s body. Prolactin is a hormone that suppresses sexual desire and inhibits the ovaries.
Therefore, oocyte maturation occurs much less frequently in winter than at any other time of the year. Still, there are a lot of babies conceived in winter, just as of those conceived in fall, spring or summer. Now, we shall discuss the pros and cons of getting pregnant in winter.

Why Getting Pregnant in Winter?

When it is winter outside, women’s sexual desire is inhibited. But as for men’s desire, cold weather does not influence it. In addition, the U.S. scientists believe that it is best for the couples, who do not yet have children, to try their luck in winter. It is proved that sperm production improves in the male body under the influence of frost and cold. Therefore, the chances of conceiving a healthy baby increase during this period.
If you get pregnant in winter, the second trimester of pregnancy will be in spring. To be exact, this is the period of rapid emotional recovery. The first greenery appears. Yet it does not mean that the future mom will be able to completely stop taking different multivitamin medicines. They must be taken during all three trimesters.
But the third trimester of pregnancy will fall on summer. You will be able to rest from heavy clothing, and there will be no need to look for bigger winter clothes.
Summer Pregnancy
Light dresses and sandals for the future mom – what could be better? The delivery itself will take place in early autumn. It means that there will be a great selection of fruits and vegetables at your disposal. Eating all these useful products, the newly formed mummy will easily improve the quality of her milk.

Contra of Winter Conception

The disadvantages of winter conception include the fact that the first trimester of pregnancy will occur during the worst period in terms of epidemiological situation. The fetus is extremely vulnerable in the first couple of months of intrauterine development. Its placental barrier has not yet formed, and the future baby is vulnerable to difficult and dangerous viral infections.
Therefore, pregnant women have to thoroughly realize it and follow all the necessary precautions, such as washing hands with soap more frequently, wearing a gauze bandage, and moisturizing their nose.
The second trimester of pregnancy, if the child is conceived in winter, falls on early spring. However, spring cannot particularly please you with vitamins. To improve the situation, you may eat sauerkraut, since this product contains the remains of vitamin C, citrus fruits, carrot-apple fresh juice, green onions, and parsley.
The expectant mother goes through the third trimester of pregnancy in mid-summer. She may be annoyed at edema. It is also important for the future mom to avoid frequent exposure to the sun, especially from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., not to drink more than 1.5 liters of liquid per day.
By the way, the scientists from England have noticed that the babies expected in fall, are in no hurry to be born: their planned birth is often delayed. Physicians do not yet know how to explain this phenomenon. This tendency might be linked with natural biorhythms, which can compel the body to slow down its livelihood.
So, planning to conceive in winter or not is up to you. In any case, the most important thing for the baby is to be wanted, and then loved!

Pregnancy Short Memory Syndrome

Pregnancy Short Memory Syndrome
You shouldn’t have smiled, seeing this headline. In fact, the mission of the pregnant woman‘s brain is the most noble one: it only remembers what it really needs at this period of the future mother’s life.
Laura Glynn, a psychologist from Chapman University in California, has held a number of studies that prove the idea that pregnant women do suffer from short-term memory loss, and the brain as if focuses on the needs of the child, while everything else is in the background.
Especially if it is not the first pregnancy, expectant mothers know that it is this temporary happy condition which makes them extremely forgetful. They can fail to remember what they have been doing, where they have put the car keys, what day of the week it is. But it does not matter, and neither the pregnant woman, nor the people around her should be scared by it. Be sure the “brain will get back in its place” exactly at the moment when the baby is born. One will need extreme concentration, good reaction and endurance, so the body is prepared in advance by accumulating energy.
Dr. Glynn explains that these changes make a woman absent-minded, forgetful and extremely sensitive. They can be caused by hormonal changes in her body, by the moving of the fetal cells into the mother’s bloodstream (the scientists believe that these cells are attracted to certain brain areas), and the movements of the fetus. And even if the child moves almost imperceptibly, any change in the position of its body increases the heart rate of the expecting mother. In addition, pregnancy is a critical period for the development of the central nervous system of the woman, but, unfortunately, the scientists do not know practically anything about it. The only thing we can say for sure is that all these components taken together affect the pregnant woman’s brain, making it so… “absent-minded”.

Arguing with Children Harms Their Self Esteem

Arguing with Children Harms Their Self Esteem
Parents of teens, be careful! If you are accustomed to winning in debates by means of suppressing your child’s opinion, he or she will not be able to defend his/her opinion in other situations.
A new research, conducted at the University of Virginia, shows that the teenagers, who are not able to convincingly prove their position during an argument with their mother, find it harder to resist peer pressure. In contrast, other children are able to calmly and persuasively defend their point of view.
Of course, parents should give their children an opportunity to use their arguments in the dispute. However, they must first of all learn to listen – to listen to their children’s opinion to the end, to try to understand the motives which prompted the child to commit a particular act. This is the basic pattern of behavior, which the teenager copies and will continuously apply in life, including interaction with peers.
The skill of reasoned argument will be very useful when a classmate or a friend from the neighborhood will offer your child to try alcohol or drugs for the first time. It is not simple to abandon the “temptation”, because one can easily do anything “in a company”. And if a teen has an argument and the skill of using it, he or she can prove the peers that drugs and alcohol will not do any good in one’s life. At the same time, the teenager will retain the “reputation” in a social group, which is so important in this age.
Of course, parents can simply demand compliance with some rules of conduct, but the consequences of such pressure on the child are unpredictable – the teenager may act in the opposite way, thus demonstrating the protest.
Joanna Marie Chango (Ph.D., a post-graduate student in clinical psychology) and her colleagues have tested the adolescents and their mothers (because it is mothers who spend the most time with their children). They were offered to discuss any problems and then take part in a simulated hypothetical situation. As a result of these studies, the children, who did not get their mother’s support and understanding during the

The Longer the School - The Smarter the Children

The Longer the School - The Smarter the Children
Norwegian scientists have proved that the children, who are given a more intense academic load at school, may enhance their natural IQ level.
The fact that the school provides knowledge and adds more reason is not new. However, early studies on this subject show that the children with high IQ levels have most likely received a better education than others. Now, there is strong evidence that additional education makes the child more intelligent. We are talking about years, and not about seven classes a day and the load of numerous elective courses.
How did it become clear? Some time ago, there was an education reform carried out in Norway, and the period of secondary education was increased for two years. The scientists compared the data of the people, who had studied before these developments and after them. It was found that the additional workload had had a positive impact on the growth of the rate of schoolchildren’s mental development, and their IQ had been increased by 3.7 points on average.
The results of this study are sensational, at least because the vast number of psychologists and educators continue to believe that IQ level is determined by genetic factors. They claim that IQ is stable and not susceptible to any modifications. And for them, it is a matter of faith rather than of scientific findings.
So, if your child has decided to quit school and go get secondary special education, try to convince him or her that a few extra years at school will give him more intelligence.

Woman’s Shoes Tell Her Character

Woman’s Shoes Tell Her Character - French psychologists have conducted an amusing research which has revealed a link between the woman’s character and the shoes she wears. The results were published in the journal Psicologia e Salute.
The authors of the study have suggested using a scale according to which high heels are worn by the women who want to rise above the others in such a way because of their low self-esteem. High-heeled shoes are also worn by the ladies who are inclined to challenge, outrage, and vibrant sexuality.
Pins are most likely to be worn by self-confident and energetic women who can enjoy their attractiveness, get acquainted easily, and are very feminine by nature.
Choosing low wedgies characterizes the woman as an especially soft, flexible, and relaxed person. Such women tend to find compromise and are extremely pleasant to talk with.
But high wedge-heeled shoes, according to the psychologists, are certainly put on by a confident lady, firm and capable of defending her point of view, though at times somewhat unpredictable.
Practical and romantic people prefer platforms; the psychologists claim these women are straightforward and are always eager to succeed at any cost.
Blunt low-heeled shoes, resembling man’s style, will most likely be worn by sound girls who know what they want from life, but are prone to depression and easy tiring.
The sport models, according to the authors of the article, are worn by open-hearted women who easily come in contact with people, but feel somewhat conservative and are not always ready for change, as the Psicologia e Salute journal writes.

Women Dream

Women Dream - British psychologists and sociologists have conducted a joint study to find out the expectations of modern women from life. The Science journal has more about it in the news section.
It turns out that most of the British women of the 21st century have abandoned their ambitions and career plans and increasingly dream of a warm nest together with their beloved man. In particular, the results of a national survey show that 64% of female residents of the United Kingdom strive to get married successfully. Almost 70% of British women want to “sit” with their children and do not want to work. According to the authors of the survey, a similar test in 1990 showed that the number of women in the UK who wanted to get married as soon as possible was only 20 percent.
In addition, the scientists inquired what the women thought about the IQ level of their potential spouse with whom they would lead a “sedentary” life. 62 percent of the Englishwomen admitted they wanted their husband to be smarter than them, though 20 percent of the survey participants said they were indifferent to their future husband’s intellect.
And what do you dream about? What do you want from life: a career or a family?

People Love Most in Champagne

Today is the day when innumerable bottles of Love Most in Champagne or other sparkling wines will pop open sending streams of white foam splashing freely and bringing along merry mood both through its cheerful fountaineering and exquisite taste.
Well, we all know what it is all about, but some of the boffins had been too engrossed to know until recently, when a study conducted by French scientists was published proving beyond any doubt that it takes good bubbles to make good champagne.
The study that appeared in the American Chemical Society Journal affirms that bubbles, as the most important aspect of sparkling wines, are a perfect agent transferring the texture, taste and aroma of the wine.
Therefore you should do well, when opening a bottle, to try and avoid letting too many bubbles escape.
In order to enjoy the bubblest of your champagne chill the bottle to 39-40 degrees before drinking. Pour the wine down the side of the glass slowly… and have a good drink and a merry celebration!

Mother’s Age and Breast Cancer Risk in Daughter

Mother’s Age and Breast Cancer Risk in Daughter
A new study shows that with age, under certain conditions a girl can develop breast thickening, which is a serious risk factor for cancer. If a mother gives birth to a girl when she is over 39, and if before puberty the girl is taller and thinner than her peers, she has a high chance of getting breast cancer.
Virginia Loup, the author of the study, explains that it is associated with an increased content of hormones. The risk of cancer is also caused by the speed of a girl’s maturation. If breasts begin to grow too rapidly, the predisposition to cancer evolves, as well.
Medical Express reports that breast cancer remains a genetic condition, but other factors also have influence – for example, the age when a woman gives birth to her first child and the number of children.
The study is published in Breast Cancer Research and Treatment.

Much Time Do Women Spend on Beauty

Much Time Do Women Spend on Beauty - How much time do you usually spend to look good? It is not as hard to calculate it as it may seem. For example, if you daily spend around 30-35 minutes on beauty, then you are spending almost four hours every week! How much time did your mother or grandmothers use to spend on beauty care?
A study was published in Wall Street Journal, which states that modern women progressively spend less time on beauty. For example, in 1965 women used to spend 10.1 hours per week, while modern women spend only 8.2 hours to look good.
So, what has changed over those forty years? Experts note that overall things have stayed the way they used to be. But, the methods and tools have become more effective. This helps women save time, which is so precious those days. Hair dryers dry faster, hair products keep our hair look perfect the whole day, makeup is long-lasting, and day and night creams and serums make masks and compresses less necessary. Moreover, the salon industry obviously exists to help us in this regard as well.

World’s Best and Worst Lovers

World’s Best and Worst Lovers - The worst that women could do is get themselves a lover from Germany, it has been found. The majority of women believe German men to be the most unpleasant bed companions, with English men following closely on the 2nd worst place.
These are the results of a survey conducted by OnePoll, a global research site that got interested in how ladies find gents of different nationalities in terms of their bed prowess. 15,000 women from 20 countries were involved. They were also asked to explain their preferences.
While most of the women polled opted for Spanish men as the best lovers a girl could wish, and praised Brazilians and Italians for their male skills, the way Germans smell was said to interfere seriously with their performance.
Englishmen, who take the last line but one, are supposed to be too lazy to take good care of their woman, and men from Sweden are apt to end the session too early.
OnePoll’s spokesperson referred to the results of the survey as “an eye-opener” and said that women travelers should take them into consideration when choosing a lover.
THE WORST LOVERS LIST
  1. Germany (should get a new deodorant)
  2. England (should perk up and be more active)
  3. Sweden (should learn to prolong the enjoyment)
  4. Holland (should go easy on domination)
  5. America (should be gentler and softer)
  6. Greece (shouldn’t be so mushy)
  7. Wales (should be more considerate)
  8. Scotland (should be quieter)
  9. Turkey (should keep a towel at the bedside)
  10. Russia (should consider having depilation)
And here come the winners worthy of a lady’s attention. Congratulations, men!
